v2.0.0
This update renames Plembfin to Plekt with a new logo and icons, moves the default port to 5056, and keeps existing settings, backups and data working. Upgrade guide: https://plekt.net/docs/upgrading-from-plembfin/
New Features
Settings
- Settings given as PLEMBFIN_ environment variables keep working, and the same settings can use PLEKT_ names
Sync & connection recovery
- Rename the app to Plekt
- New Plekt wordmark in the sidebar, sign-in, setup and About pages, in dark and light, with the old logo's heavier lettering and diagonal cut
- New app icon for the browser tab, home screen and Windows, with a dark background that fills the icon on phones
- New icon for the app's own entries in watch rows and Force Sync
- The app, sign-in, setup, About pages and browser tab now say Plekt throughout
- Webhooks accept the secret in an X-Plekt-Webhook-Secret header as well as the older X-Plembfin-Webhook-Secret header
- New backups are named plekt-backup and plekt-watch-history; backups made earlier still restore, still appear in lists and still count toward retention
- Remote backup retention orders files by the date in their name, so older-named files are removed first
- New installs store data in plekt.db; an existing plembfin.db is kept and used
- Docker images publish under the plekt name, and the old plembfin image name keeps receiving releases with an in-app notice about the change
- The Windows installer moves an existing Plembfin service and data folder to the Plekt names
- The default published port moves from 5055 to 5056 (set with PLEKT_PUBLISHED_PORT). Move guide: https://plekt.net/docs/moving-to-port-5056/
- In-app help links point to plekt.net
- Audit history payloads are size-limited so the database grows more slowly, and unexpected process errors are handled more safely
- Choose a dashboard port during Windows installation or upgrade, with the setting applied to the service, tray, shortcuts, and optional firewall rule.
Bug Fixes
Up Next & watch-state
- Refresh watch history and Up Next when the dashboard opens, showing loading or unavailable feedback until fresh server data arrives.
- Refresh Resume and Up Next after focus or connectivity returns, and sort resume cards by the latest parsed progress update.
Sync & provider recovery
- Refresh dashboard data and avoid Seerr port conflict
- Use port 5056 as Plembfin's default so it can run alongside Seerr on 5055; Docker still listens internally on 5055.
- Use SHA-256 poster-cache IDs and re-key existing cache rows without losing stored artwork.
- Check SQLite integrity before a full restore and explain recovery options when the database is corrupt.
- Retry an episode mutation once after refreshing stale series indexes for Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin.
- Show the final provider reason when a destination is skipped in Sync Activity.
- Start media details at the top of their scroll area.
Tweaks
Sync & connection recovery
- Set separate retention periods for local and remote full backups.
- Default backup retention to seven days.
- Plembfin is now Plekt. Docker users: change the image to ghcr.io/lasikiewicz/plekt or plembfin/plekt, keep the same tag, volumes and settings. Both old image names receive updates for at least six months after this release.
