Use a Portainer stack to deploy Plekt with Docker Compose. The stack publishes Plekt on
port 5056 and stores its database and configuration in /data.
Create the stack
- In Portainer, select your Docker environment, then open Stacks → Add stack.
- Choose Web editor and enter a name such as
plekt. - Paste the contents of the repository’s
docker-compose.quickstart.yml. - Add
ADMIN_PASSWORDunder Environment variables and set it to a strong, private password. Portainer substitutes it for${ADMIN_PASSWORD}in the Compose file. - Select Deploy the stack.
The quickstart maps host port 5056 to Plekt’s container port 5055 and persists /data
in a data directory associated with the stack. Keep that storage when updating or
recreating the stack; it contains your database and settings.
Open Plekt
Visit http://<docker-host>:5056, replacing <docker-host> with the address of the machine
running Docker. Sign in with username admin and the password you set in Portainer.
Do not publish or share the stack’s environment values.
For the full Compose setup and other install options, see Getting started.
